Google is expected to announce the Pixel 5 Series in October. Now, the Pixel 5 XL has just surfaced online, with its leaked cases offerings us a look at its design.
As you can see from the leaked images, the Google Pixel 5 XL still features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. However, the Pixel 5 XL still seems to house a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
The 3.5mm headphone jack didn’t make an appearance on the Pixel 4 XL, which also dropped the fingerprint scanner completely in favor of 3D facial recognition technology.
The case depicted was a clear back cover that also had a square cut out similar to the Pixel 4 series and with a dual-camera setup. Unfortunately, we still don’t have much to go on at the moment.
Previous reports had pointed at the latest Google Pixel 5 series missing the flagship Snapdragon 865 chips in favor of the Snapdragon 765G due to rising costs.
In addition, its launch cycle, which is generally around October, might also have been delayed due to the ongoing pandemic. But again, it is still too soon to tell, so stay tuned.
